As businesses continue to look for ways to decrease expenses, utilizing solar energy systems is becoming more and more common.
In October of last year, Optimus Energy Solutions flipped the switch on its latest commercial solar project, a 90kw system for Fort Knox Self Storage in Okahumpka, Fla., right outside The Villages & Leesburg. The newly-constructed storage facility features three storage buildings with drive-up and climate-controlled units as well as three covered parking canopies offering secure and weather-proof storage for RVs, boats, trailers, and large vehicles.

Over the past few years, Optimus Energy Solutions has worked with local governments throughout the United States to help secure federal funding for EV charging stations in their communities. Unfortunately, it looks like it may be years until the $5.5 billion that has been sent to states for the National Electric Vehicle Initiative, or NEVI, will be spent.
