Orange County Electrifying Municipal Fleet

Optimus Energy Solutions is grateful to be working with Orange County to electrify their municipal fleet infrastructure for utilities and other county services. Orange County has shown leadership on items such as utility management and transportation innovation. Their transition to electric fleets is a natural next step. Orange County runs and manages their own utilities for the benefit of residents and visitors.  Transitioning to electric transportation will mean cost savings and improved operational efficiency for all stakeholders.

In phase 1 of the project, which is currently underway, the focus is on installing EV charging capabilities at 7 fleet locations spread throughout the County, generally at utility or municipal service locations. Using ChargePoint EV charging infrastructure, we are providing a turnkey solution and cost-effective charging with no maintenance hassles falling to County staff, so they are able to focus on their core services.

Orange County is the ideal candidate for fleet electrification due to the constituent cities and organizations in the County, the administration of their own utilities, and their commitment to deploying resources effectively over the long-term. We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside them in education, design, implementation and maintenance as they work toward fleet elecrification.
