Optimus Energy Solutions (OES) is wrapping construction on a 700KW DC floating solar array for Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. This project is being completed on behalf of D3 Energy, with whom OES has closely partnered.

This array is located on an existing retention pond on campus and ties directly into campus housing, providing power for the University’s dormitories, which house over 600 students. Comprised of over 1,200 individual solar modules, this installation was technically challenging, required a 1,600-foot electrical run to tie into the Florida Power and Light transformer.

OES was responsible for the construction of the water-based array, land-based electrical work and commissioning of the system.

This project was recently featured on CBS News. Click Here to read article and watch the featured story.
