Featured Project: Central Florida Auto-Dealers are now Charging
As more drivers and car-buyers choose electric vehicles, charging infrastructure must respond. Dealerships are now selling more EV’s than ever. The growing market for new electric vehicle inventory, vehicle maintenance/service, and the trade-in market are driving the rapid spread of EV charging at dealerships as they aim to support their inventory and their customers. The Optimus Energy Solutions team recently had the opportunity to install EV charging solutions at two Central Florida dealerships.
At Genesis of Central Florida in Clermont, we installed significant fast charging capabilities. We successfully implemented 400KW charging devices for clients and dealership use, as well as showroom and back of house chargers.Genesis has plans to fully electrify their vehicles over the next few years, making charging, and especially fast charging options, critical infrastructure. No longer an optional amenity, EV charging infrastructure is fast becoming a necessity. These chargers were installed on time, on budget, and in significant coordination with the Investor Owned Utility.
As with many car dealerships, Sun State Ford has a large inventory of electric vehicles that need to charge in order to be serviced and sold to their clients. Optimus Energy Solutions was selected to install significant underground infrastructure, high-powered level 3 charging, service bay charging, and public-facing level 2 charging at their Orlando location.
Working with the local utility, we implemented significant charging capacity for Sun State Ford and their clients. Through diligent care and quality installations, Optimus is bringing transportation-network-grade charging on the grid to serve clients and communities.
